USB Twin Serial Adapter Review

The Keyspan products that I have used all seem to be good. I needed an RS422 serial adapter to work under Linux, and this one is just fine. It’s made for a Mac, but I used it for a different application. The Keyspan drivers for Windows do not attach to this adapter – that would have been a plus. The case had to be modified slightly to fit the DIN8 plugs I had.

The USB Twin Serial Adapter plugs into a USB port on your Mac. It provides two RS-422 mini-DIN8 ports for connection to serial devices. Each port supports data rates up to 1 Mbps.This adapter has been certified by Apple for controlling video decks with Final Cut Pro.
